The Book of Daniel

Question: What is the external/internal evidence that the book of Daniel was written by one person rather than several?

The reported “many writers” of Daniel; are the conclusions of disbelieving Translators and teachers and preachers over considerable time.

The same criticism has been levelled at Revelation, in the writers own experience.  The same Bishop of one of the main Churches (a teacher at Oxford), could not intellectually accept the Historical accuracy of part of Daniel from Chp.1 to 8:27, (written in Aramaic/Chaldee,); because of “the events being too accurate to History”; therefore in his opinion, “must have been written by an eyewitness”!!

According to trusted academics, the portions mentioned above are to differentiate between the “Gentile period” of prophecy; and that of the future prophecies of end time events for Israel and the World, shown in Chps. 7–12; written in Hebrew.  Daniel is often referred to as the “Revelation of the Old Testament”.

Regarding Daniel; The Lord Himself Authenticated the Book, in Matt. 24:15, with His ref. to “the abomination of desolation”.  There can be no higher valuation than that!
